Donate Food

We use a lot of Donated Food!

On every visit a client may select a bag of groceries from food that has been donated. For the 2800 visits in 2017, we collected 2800 bags of groceries. That’s 54 bags of groceries each and every week. That’s a lot of food!

The Pantry buys staples that are always available. Clients also need items that the Pantry doesn’t stock. All non-perishable, unopened, and unexpired groceries are appreciated.

How You Can Help

  • Consider buying an extra item or two when you shop and leave your donated items at the Purple Box at the checkout at your store.
  • Talk to your co-workers and run a food drive at work. We will promote your effort on our Facebook page.
  • On your next Celebration – birthday, anniversary, wedding – ask guests to bring a food item or two.
  • Talk to your School about running a food drive – we will be happy to come and talk about the Food Pantry and what we do.
